    CHICAGO – November 18, 2012. Governor Pat Quinn today launched an Internet grassroots campaign to increase public awareness about the need for pension reform in Illinois. Relaying a message from the next generation to today’s leaders, the "Thanks in Advance" public awareness campaign is designed to educate citizens about the "squeeze" caused by skyrocketing pension costs, and activate them to advocate for pension reform using tech tools like Facebook, Twitter and email. **UPDATE** Check the links below and watch the two part video “Kids Don’t Have Lobbyists”!
  •  Welcome to the Illinois Capital Development BoardBuilding a Better Illinois

    The professional architects, engineers, project managers, construction experts, and staff of the Capital Development Board oversee the design and construction of state-funded facilities. The CDB manages projects that touch the lives of almost every Illinois citizen with work on colleges and universities, public safety centers, museums and historic sites, state parks, health centers, office buildings, and correctional centers.
  •  Renew, Renovate and Restore

    When one of the State of Illinois’ 8,400 properties requires repair or renovation, the Capital Development Board manages the project. Many projects involve modernizing facilities to meet accessibility standards and protecting the lives and safety of Illinois residents by removing such environmental hazards as asbestos and lead. Projects can range from the replacement of a failing heating system to the restoration of internationally significant historic structures.
  •  Going Green

    The CDB spearheads the “Illinois Green Building” initiative to incorporate energy-saving, environmentally-friendly design elements into state construction projects.
  •  School Construction

    The Capital Development Board in partnership with the Illinois State Board of Education has provided over $3.4 billion in state grants for school construction and renovation through the School Construction Program. The program has benefited over 500 elementary and secondary school districts in every part of the state.
