As part of Governor Quinn's comprehensive plan to improve P-20 education in Illinois, he announced $45M in Illinois Jobs Now! capital funding at the Through a Child's Eyes child development center in Cicero. Through a Child's Eyes was a grant recipient along with over a dozen other early learning providers in high need communities throughout the state who will use their awards to improve facilities or expand services through new centers or additions. This Quality Rating and Improvement System provides a process for pursuing quality efforts that will help providers and improve developmental skills among the children they serve. ExceleRate Illinois also provides standards, guidelines, resources and supports to help create better quality outcomes.
