In addition to the operational improvements, the Shared Services Program will also provide direct benefits to state employees in their everyday worklives. A snapshot of these benefits for state employees is as follows:

Agency leadership, such as Directors, Chiefs of Staff, Chief Operating Officers, and various managers and supervisors dedicated to the agency’s core mission will have access to more reliable, real-time fiscal and HR information.


Fiscal and HR Employees…

Fiscal and HR employees will work in a more high-performance work environment, in which some employees will work with cutting-edge IT systems and focus on performing transactional functions, while others will focus on analysis, research and project development. State IT Personnel…

The State’s IT Personnel will work with industry-leading technical architectures and complex enterprise-wide applications. It will provide the State’s IT community with the opportunity to significantly increase their technical skills while presenting them with a unique challenges of working on the largest application development effort the State has ever attempted. These challenges are not limited to the application only, but also include all technology domains such as server, storage, database and network technologies.
