Support Us

You might think that the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library is only about the past, but it’s really about the future.  The Library’s collections on Abraham Lincoln and Illinois history will continue to play a vital role in shaping modern scholarship on Lincoln and his times and on the history of the Prairie State.  In addition to preserving the priceless materials already in the Library’s possession, new—and old—books, papers, audio-visual resources, and artifacts will be acquired to bring new light and life to examinations of topics and issues.

Support the Library’s important work by donating your time, money, and historical materials.

Monetary Gifts and Bequests

Monetary gifts are the easiest for the donor and provide the most flexibility for use where funds are needed most.  In addition monetary gifts and legacy gifts such as bequests can be earmarked for the Library’s use through a gift to the following:

Name on a Frame

Become a partner in presenting the Library’s "Boys in Blue" exhibits.  For a $100 tax-deductible donation, a donor label with your name or that of a designee will be placed on one of the framed exhibit pieces in the Library.

Permanent Home Campaign

Eliminating the debt incurred in acquiring a prized collection of more than fifteen hundred Lincoln artifacts and documents from renowned collector Louise Taper is the goal of the Permanent Home Campaign.  The Taper Collection augments the Library’s unparalleled holdings of Lincoln papers and artifacts.
