Think Green with Enterprise Fax Service (EFS)
CMS/BCCS is taking additional measures to better secure our conference bridges and allow continued ease of use while enhancing security at both the platform and end user level. Within the next 30 days, all hosts are required to obtain new audio bridges and should be aware of new security features and their responsibility to monitor bridge activity.
The Adobe Reader Extensions Service (ARES) provides form owners with the capability to apply usage rights within a PDF (Portable Document Format) to activate functionality within Adobe Reader to enhance end user interaction. This functionality includes the ability to create pages from templates, alter form fields, enable digital signatures, 2D barcodes, and file embedding. CMS/BCCS was chosen as a recipient for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers’ (NASCIO) 2010 Recognition Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Information Technology in State Government. The Enterprise Fax Service (EFS) provides BCCS hosted email customers with the ability to send and/or receive fax documents from their desktop via Outlook or electronic fax client. The service can also be used as a cost effective replacement for dedicated fax machines. Some of the benefits associated with the Enterprise Fax Service include cost savings-reduction/elimination of existing fax machines/lines and associated maintenance costs. EFS can also handle a high capacity-for large outbound faxes, jobs can utilize the multiple telephone lines concurrently thus reducing the time to send.
