CENTRAL ILLINOIS BROADBAND SUMMIT
Hosted by the Partnership for a Connected Illinois at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois
You are invited to the campus of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign for PCI's third Broadband Summit and the quarterly Illinois Broadband Deployment Council meeting.
These events, which will be taking place over a two-day period, are occurring less than a month after the groundbreaking of the important UC2B project in Urbana-Champaign. On day one, a morning state-wide Broadband Research Symposium will look into the various broadband research projects taking place throughout the state of Illinois. A planned agenda for the Broadband Research Symposium is available (click to view the agenda). In the afternoon, the Central Illinois recipients of federal BTOP and BIP stimulus awards will report on their projects at the Central Illinois Regional ARRA Broadband Awardees Meeting. The meeting host, the Partnership for a Connected Illinois, will also provide an update regarding statewide broadband initiatives.
The governor's Illinois Broadband Deployment Council meeting will take place the following day at the same location. This meeting is also open to the public.
Additional details, including R.S.V.P. options, the afternoon ARRA Awardees Meeting agenda and the Broadband Deployment Council agenda will be forthcoming shortly. You may also check for developing details on the Events page of the newly redesigned Partnership for a Connected Illinois website.
