Local Governments & Schools ESCOs 

A recent change to the Illinois School Code allows local school districts to enter into guaranteed energy services contracts for improvements to their facilities. The new law requires these districts to solicit through the Capital Development Board as well as through local media outlets. The Capital Development Board is not in a position to review such postings on the CDB website as we do State agencies and universities. We are however in a position to help local school districts get their message to the Bulletin administrators so that their solicitation can be posted to the CDB website. This is not an approval or consent issued by the Capital Development Board as none is required. The statutory citation requiring this action is: 105 ILCS 5/19b-1.4.
