Retirees in the State Employees Group Insurance Program will continue to pay 1% of their annuity for Medicare Advantage coverage.

State retirees with less than 20 years of service will also continue to pay 5% of the health plan cost for every year less than 20; however, the premiums for the new Medicare Advantage plans will be lower than the current health plans.  The premiums below represent the cost of coverage that the 5% will be based upon effective February 1, 2014.  Members who have less than 20 years of service should see a decrease in the cost of their coverage.
