The Fair Employment Practices (FEP) Unit oversees two programs:
· The MBE/FBE Participation Program which providing opportunities for minority/female owned firms
· DHR Minority/Female Workforce Program, which offers equal employment opportunities to minority and female tradespersons in accordance with the Department of Human Rights.
The FEP Unit assists prime contractors and certified minority and female firms to increase minority participation on construction projects.
FEP Compliance Technicians are frequently available at CDB's pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to aid in the clarification of the programs and procedures. They are also periodically available at the construction sites in conjunction with the FEP programs.
