Start planning NOW for your Halloween celebrating! The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce & Downtown Development Corporation’s Moon Over Macomb will be held on Saturday, October 20th, on the Macomb Courthouse Square. New to the celebration this year is the Mayor’s Great Scarecrow Building/ Decorating Contest.
Farmers’ Market kicks off the day at 7 a.m. followed at 9 a.m. by registration for the scarecrow building/decorating contest. ALL scarecrows entering the contest MUST BE registered! The Farmers’ Market has donated CASH PRIZES that will be awarded for the best scarecrow in several categories as well as Best of Show.
Dress your kids in their costumes and bring them to participate in the Children’s Costume Parade which will start in front of Citizen’s Bank at 9:30 a.m. The remainder of the day will be filled with FREE trolley rides, children’s story telling, the haunted museum, games, prizes and candy galore.
At 12:30 p.m. the final scarecrow judging will take place and prizes will be awarded followed by drawing for the Farmers’ Market Wagon Give-Away.
Moon Over Macomb is another wonderful opportunity for you to experience Macomb’s beautiful downtown.
