IDHR's Chicago office is conveniently located in Chicago's downtown loop at 100 West Randolph Street.
Visitors can access the James R. Thompson Center by elevated train or subway without stepping outside. The Clark / Lake stations located under the James R. Thompson Center provide connections throughout the city and direct trains to O'Hare airport.
Walking? Pedestrians can pick up the center's concourse-level entrance to Chicago's extensive underground tunnel system (Pedway), with connections to major destinations throughout the Loop.
Security Measures at the James R. Thompson Center:
All visitors to the JRTC are required to show a valid government-issued picture I.D. and pass through metal detectors; bags are searched by the Illinois State Police Protective Service Unit (PSU).
There are public parking lots available near the building which offer discounted all day parking rates.
Note: You must have your parking ticket stamped using the validation stamps on the 9th floor, one floor below IDHR's 10th floor, in order to receive the discount. If you choose to park by the hour, your rate will be much higher.

- LaSalle and Lake Streets, $15.00 (with validated ticket) all day parking

Chicago Mass Transit
IDHR's Springfield office is located in the Capitol Complex area of Springfield, one block northwest of the Capitol building at 222 South College.
