
IMHRA, a non-profit organization, was established in 1973 to initiate, promote and conduct educational programs/workshops regarding equal opportunity for all persons and groups in the state of Illinois. As a leading organization in the field of civil/human rights, IMHRA provides its members, who are community/human relations representatives from municipalities throughout the state, with resources such as:
- In–service skill improvement training on human rights subjects.
- Legislative update on laws regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
- Technical services on issues such as community policing or developing a conflict resolution program.
- The opportunity to interact or network with other human rights professionals.
The quarterly meetings are held on the third Wednesday in the following months:
