Welcome to the Illinois Economic Recovery Commission Website,
Illinois serves as a critical economic hub for the Midwest and is a key player in both the national and global economy. But, like many other states in our nation, Illinois is facing an economic crisis. I formed the Illinois Economic Recovery Commission to develop innovative solutions to stimulate and strengthen Illinois’ economy, both for our generation and the next. The Economic Recovery Commission will provide independent, nonpartisan information, analysis and advice to help formulate and implement plans for Illinois’ economic recovery.
The Commission will focus on encouraging economic growth, decreasing unemployment, attracting new business enterprises, strengthening existing business enterprises, supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship, and ensuring long-term economic growth and stability.
This website provides a way for the Commission to communicate with the people of Illinois and solicit ideas. In addition, meeting agendas, minutes and interim reports will be published to this site. You will also be able to access helpful links to information about the Illinois economy, job opportunities and interim assistance from this site. We also welcome your feedback and ideas.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to continuing our work to create a more stable, secure and healthy future.
Economic Recovery Commission Executive Order
Sincerely,
Pat Quinn, Governor
