DR. JORGE OLVERA GARCÍA
RECTOR OF THE AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF THE STATE OF MEXICO
He is Doctor and Master in Laws with honors and Litigation Specialist by the Faculty of Law of the University of the State of Mexico. He is a full time Professor with PROMEP profile attached to the Faculty of Law of the UAEM, where he teaches different cathedra in advanced study programs.
In 27 years of service to this institution he has held various positions, highlighting his work as Technical Secretary of the Rectory Office, General Counsel, Administrative Director of Development at UAEM Tenancingo, University Center Director, Director of the House of Culture of Tlalpan, Assistant Academic Director and Director of the Faculty of Law, Director of the Central Library and Director of Evaluation at the Secretariat of Rector of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.
Several distinguished university benefit projects committed, such as co-authoring the inscription of the name of the Constitution UAEM in free and sovereign state of Mexico, the founding of the University Rights Ombudsman as a protector body of the rights of community, legal management to reform the University Act in 2005, which highlights the transformation of the Academic Professional Units into University Centers, the creation of the program "April, month of reading" and the establishment of the Committee on Social Witness Registry.
He has published books, specialized articles in journals of national and international recognition, such as chapters in academic works.
During his academic career he has been entitled to institutional awards such as the medal Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, and twice the laudatory note.
Over the last years he has participated as organizer and speaker at several conferences and seminars of law.
