Part III - Promising Use Cases: Creating New Programs and Approaches Using Electronic Data Sharing (ILHIE Direct)

Presenters: DuPage County Health Department (Jeff Swim, Assistant Director of Business Administration) & Human Service Center (Beth Koch, Manager, Records Department)

Description: Two promising use cases provide insight into how electronic data sharing via ILHIE Direct can initiate new services or reinvigorate transitions of care.  DuPage County Public Health Department will discuss the new mobile medical services for the severely mentally ill, and the Human Service Center will provide an overview of improving transitions to and from inpatient and outpatient mental health services.

Part IV - Promising Use Case: Mental Health Triage in Emergency Departments

Date/Time: Thursday, March 14, 10:30 - 11:30 AM

Presenters: Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois (Jim Wilkerson, Director of Quality Management and Outcome Evaluation)

Description: Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois, working with Memorial Medical Center, introduced electronic data sharing for psych assessments in the emergency department and vastly improved processing time for each case.
