Below you'll find information about scheduled ILHIE webinars and tutorials. March 2013 Webinars

Joining the ILHIE - Large Hospitals and Medical Groups
  • Date/Time: Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 10:30 - 11:30 AM
  • Presenter: Ivan Handler, Chief Technology Officer
  • Description: This session will provide attendees with relevant information for planning their organization’s participation in the Illinois Health Information Exchange. On-boarding topics will include: establishing connectivity, sharing demographic patient data, initiating inquiries to the ILHIE for  clinical patient information, and responding to clinical information inquires from the ILHIE. Patient consent management will also be discussed, as will key factors for attendees to consider in assessing their readiness to join the ILHIE.
  • Who should participate? Large hospitals and medical group CIO’s, Technicians
  • Length: 40 minute presentation, followed by questions
Why Join the Illinois Health information Exchange (ILHIE)
  • Date/Time: Thursday, March 21, 10:30 – 11:30 AM
  • Presenter: Raul Recarey, Executive Director of the ILHIE Authority
  • Description: The ILHIE allows providers and patients to access and securely share vital medical information electronically – improving the speed, quality, safety and cost of care. More and more Illinois providers are connecting to the ILHIE because the need for exchange is clear and the benefits are significant. To learn more about why you should join the ILHIE, register for this webinar.

April 2013 Webinars

Joining the ILHIE - Clinics and Medical Practices
  • Date/Time: Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 10:30 - 11:30 AM
  • Presenter: Ivan Handler, Chief Technology Officer

How the ILHIE Will Help Achieve Stage 2 Meaningful Use

  • Presenter: Raul Recarey, Executive Director of the ILHIE Authority, Ivan Handler, Chief Technology Officer
  • Description: Connecting to the ILHIE will assist Eligible Professionals and Hospitals in achieving many of the Stage 2 meaningful use objectives; many of which have a clear focus on health information exchange. All designed to provide improved patient care. To learn more, register for this webinar.

May 2013 Webinars

The ILHIE and Public Health Node Connectivity
  • Date/Time: Thursday, May 16, 10:30 - 11:30 AM
  • Presenters: Mike Jadala, Project Manager and Dejan Jovanov, Technical Lead at the Public Health Node, with Ivan Handler, Chief Technology Officer of the ILHIE
  • Description: Connection to the ILHIE provides immediate access to the Public Health Node, which can serve as a single destination for providers to report required information to Public Health, including meeting requirements for Stage 2 meaningful use. Immunization data, reportable lab results, syndromic surveillance and other data can all be streamlined through a single connection with the ILHIE-PHN. This session will provide attendees information regarding this capability, and specifics on how to get started to set up the ILHIE-PHN connection for their organization.
  • Who Should Participate? CIO’s, Office Managers, Technicians and others involved in public health reporting
