The heads of state agencies that govern education and workforce issues meet regularly to align programs and initiatives to ensure that the transitions from preschool through graduate school to the workforce are seamless. Each of these offices and agencies is working to meet the goal of 60% of Illinoisans with high quality credentials by 2025.
The Joint Education Leadership Committee is chaired by Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon.
