HFS is responsible for providing healthcare coverage for adults and children who qualify for Medicaid, and for providing Child Support Services to help ensure that Illinois children receive financial support from both parents.
HFS is redesigning its healthcare delivery system to be more patient-centered, with a focus on improved health outcomes, enhanced patient access, and patient safety. HFS is also realigning payment incentives in support of care coordination models and quality healthcare. The department plays a key role in the state’s implementation of national healthcare reform. HFS is seeking qualified individuals excited to participate in this dynamic healthcare transformation.
