Manager for Risk and Analytics

The Illinois State Board of Investment (ISBI) is conducting a search for a Manager of Risk and Analytics. ISBI manages the investment portfolio for three State retirement systems with total assets of approximately $14.5 billion. ISBI also provides investment oversight for the State’s $4 billion defer="defer"red compensation plan.

This position reports to the Executive Director. Responsibilities will include serving as an advanced subject matter expert, responsible for monitoring and reporting on valuation of all investments, for the development of risk policy and monitoring procedures and to act as a research and analytics resource for the Board and the Executive Director. Also the position will be responsible for ongoing research and monitoring to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and conformity to Board objectives.

Candidates will have good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs. The candidate will have a minimum of five years professional experience. Bachelor of Arts degree required; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.

Investment Compliance Officer

The Illinois State Board of Investment (ISBI) is conducting a search for an Investment Compliance Officer. ISBI manages the investment portfolio for three State retirement systems with total assets of approximately $14.6 billion. ISBI also provides investment oversight for the State’s $4 billion defer="defer"red compensation plan. This position reports to the General Counsel /Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for general legal and investment compliance issues relating to ISBI’s investments and operations.

Candidates will have good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs. The candidate will have professional experience in the investment and/or legal profession. Bachelor’ degree required and Graduate or Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
