Fallon Opperman, Deputy Chief and Assistant Inspector General
Fallon Opperman joined the OEIG as an assistant inspector general in June 2008, and previously worked as a legal intern with the agency. In her position as deputy chief of the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division, Ms. Opperman is responsible for providing legal counsel on all aspects of RTB investigations. Ms. Opperman received a BA in political science from North Central College and obtained her law degree from the DePaul University College of Law.

In addition to Ms. Opperman, the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division team includes an assistant inspector general and investigators who have over 40 combined years of investigative experience from law enforcement and other government agencies. Members of the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division have received training in areas such as interview techniques, surveillance of subjects, and public corruption investigations.
