Regional Transit Board Investigative Division 


Fallon Opperman, Deputy Inspector General and Chief

Ms. Opperman joined the OEIG as an assistant inspector general in June 2008 and most recently served as deputy chief of the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division. As deputy inspector general and chief of the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division, Ms. Opperman is responsible for directing investigations related to the Regional Transportation Authority, the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, and Pace. Ms. Opperman received a BA in political science from North Central College and obtained her law degree from the DePaul University College of Law.

Brandon Myers, Deputy Chief

Brandon Myers serves as Deputy Chief in the OEIG’s RTB division. Prior to joining the OEIG, Dr. Myers served as a Security Site Supervisor at the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is the former Chief of Police with the Braidwood Police Department, and has extensive experience in all facets of law enforcement. Dr. Myers is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Staff and Command and the Penn State Police Executive Development Course. Dr. Myers holds a Doctorate degree in Leadership, Master’s degrees in Diplomacy and Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management.

Other Regional Transit Board Investigative Division Staff

In addition to Ms. Opperman, the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division team includes an assistant inspector general and investigators who have over 40 combined years of investigative experience from law enforcement and other government agencies.  Members of the Regional Transit Board Investigative Division have received training in areas such as interview techniques, surveillance of subjects, and public corruption investigations.
