Amanda Guinn is currently the program director for the Belleville AmeriCorps program at Southwestern Illinois College. Belleville AmeriCorps serves as an education program serving to help bridge the achievement gap in poverty schools. As director Mandy leads a corps of 85 members to support neighborhood and school efforts to strengthen the community of Belleville, Illinois. She facilitates well-designed partnerships between community organizations and schools to enable delivery of research-driven interventions and services. She also serves on the Executive Committee of BASIC, and Belleville Festival of Stories committee. Before serving as director, Mandy served as an AmeriCorps member Volunteer Coordinator at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School where she coordinated after-school programs. Mrs. Guinn has a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and is currently a graduate student at Lindenwood University in the Counseling program.
