Debra M. Marton is Manager of Community Investment for Comcast in the Greater Chicago Region. She is responsible for Comcast Cares Day, a national day of service providing over 42,000 volunteer hours of service on a single day. She is also responsible for Comcast Foundation grants, Comcast Leaders & Achievers Scholarships, local community based partnerships with national organizations, Comcast Partnership in Education, and the Comcast Volunteer Ambassador Program.
She is a 25 year resident of Streamwood Illinois where she has raised three children, Nina, Maria and Brendon. On her days off you can find her working side by side with her kids and husband Laszlo at one of their three garlic specialty stores in Galena, Geneva or Madison, IN, called Galena Garlic Co.
She is very involved in the community and youth sports as secretary of the Streamwood Youth Basketball Association, and for the past 14 years was the Cultural Arts Chair for the PTG at Glenbrook Elementary School. Debra currently sits on the YMCA Black and Latino Achievers committee and has served as President of “Woman in Cable & Telecommunications. She received a Publicity Club of Chicago Silver Trumpet Award for “Comcast Cares Day” and a Chicago Skyline Award for Public Service Partnerships. Debra Marton has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry both in operations and community investment.
