Robert Dwyer is currently a consultant with Executive Service Corps of Chicago (ESC), offering nonprofit and public-agency clients his expertise in operational leadership, marketing and emergency planning. For more than 30 years as Chicago’s largest nonprofit consulting firm, ESC provides vital leadership, management, governance and transformation services to the nonprofit sector. Dwyer’s most recent project at ESC involves an innovative volunteer management assessment process. Dwyer presented on its success at this year’s National Conference on Volunteering and Service, and the recent Illinois Conference on Volunteer Administration.
Dwyer offers a wealth of experience in strategic planning, communications, media affairs and public relations. Most recently, Dwyer held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at Fleishman-Hillard. Prior to this position, he was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Exelon Corporation, and during his 15-year career at the nation’s largest nuclear generation and energy delivery company, he served in various communications and public relations roles including heading its corporate citizenship function, directing an annual budget of roughly $20 million in corporate grants to the community.
A life-long resident of Illinois, Dwyer resides in Kenilworth with his wife Margaret Amato.
