Easing Regulatory Inconsistency and Duplicity in Illinois's Food Industry

In keeping with its effort to rid the administrative code of extraneous, obsolete, and overlapping regulations, the IDPH has repealed four Rule Parts, resulting in benefits to Illinois food manufacturers, processors, and distributors. These repeals update the Code to conform to federal requirements while reducing duplicate and inconsistent rules. This allows the food industry manufacturers to spend less time interpreting the regulations and more time producing products for Illinois residents.
