Racing Board, Illinois
The mission of the Illinois Racing Board is to regulate horse racing through the enforcement of the Act and its rules and regulations and to ensure the honesty and integrity of Illinois racing and wagering.

Off Track Betting Parlors
The Illinois Horse Racing Act, effective June 28, 2019 states that Fairmount Park may establish up to 9 intertrack wagering locations (OTB's), Hawthorne Race Course may establish up to 16 OTB's and Arlington Park may establish up to 18 OTB's. As of November 30, 2020, Arlington Park has 8 OTB's in operation, Hawthorne Race Course has 10 OTB's, and Fairmount Park has 3 OTB's.
Advance Deposit Wagering
​Advance deposit wagering (ADW) is now available in Illinois pursuant to Section 26(g) of the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. You must be a resident of Illinois and be at least 18 years old to open an account.
