Liquor Control Commission
Issues approximately 28,000 state liquor licenses each year at various classifications for the three tiers of the liquor industry.
Financial and Professional Regulation, Department of
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s mission is to utilize responsive, innovative, transparent, and efficient (R.I.T.E.) governance to create an ideal regulatory environment that (1) allows economic growth to flourish, and (2) effectively optimizes consumer choice.
Power Agency, Illinois
The IPA was established in 2007 by Public Act 95-0481. Its goals and objectives are to accomplish each of the following:
•Develop electricity procurement plans to ensure adequate, reliable, affordable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable electric service at the lowest total cost over time, taking into account any benefits of price stability, for residential and small commercial customers of Ameren and ComEd. The procurement plan is updated on an annual basis and includes renewable energy resources sufficient to achieve the renewable portfolio standards specified in the Act.
Property Tax Appeal Board
The Property Tax Appeal Board (PTAB) was created to provide an unbiased forum for taxpayers and taxing bodies that are dissatisfied with property assessments.
Housing Development Authority
The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) finances the creation and preservation of affordable housing throughout the State of Illinois to increase the supply of decent and safe places for people of low and moderate means to live. IHDA is an independent, self-supporting state agency that issues bonds based on its own strong credit rating to raise private capital to finance affordable housing. In addition, IHDA oversees and allocates federal and state resources to community partners to offer affordable mortgages to homebuyers and construction loans and grants to developers of multifamily rental properties. Since its creation in 1967, IHDA has allocated more than $15 billion and financed approximately 250,000 affordable housing units for residents of Illinois
State Fire Marshal
The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal is dedicated to working with our partners and providing assistance to the fire services in the protection of life, property and the environment through communication, inspection, investigation, certification and licensing.
Capital Development Board
Capital Development Board oversees the design and construction of state-funded facilities.
Health Facilities and Services Review Board
The Board, through its certificate of need program aimed at containing health care costs, approves or disapproves applications for construction or expansion of health care facilities to avoid unnecessary duplication of such facilities and promotes development of facilities in areas where needed.
Procurement Policy Board
The Procurement Policy Board was created by the Illinois Procurement Code (30 ILCS 500) on July 1, 1998. The Board has the authority and responsibility to review, comment upon, and recommend, consistent with the Procurement Code, rules and practices governing the procurement, management, control, and disposal of supplies, services, professional and artistic services, construction and real property and capital improvement leases procured by the State.
