    Business Enterprise Program Council Meeting

    Hosted by: Illinois Department of Central Management Services - Business Enterprise Program The Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Council is established to help implement, monitor and enforce the goals of the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities Act. The BEP Council is composed of the Secretary of Human Services and the Directors of the Department of Human Rights, the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Department of Central Management Services, the Department of Transportation and the Capital Development Board, or their duly appointed representatives. Ten individuals representing businesses that are minority or female owned or owned by persons with disabilities, two individuals representing the business community, and one representative of public universities shall be appointed by the Governor. BEP Council meetings are open to the public at NO COST

    Advancing the Development of Minority Entrepreneurship (ADME)

    Are you a new business owner? Interested in becoming an entrepreneur in 2018? If so, you are invited to join the Illinois Department of Commerce for an ADME Business Workshop. This workshop has been designed to instruct new business start-ups or individuals who have an interest in entrepreneurship.
    During the workshop, subject-matter experts will address the needs of individuals who are just starting their own businesses and those who are looking to pursue entrepreneurship. The workshop will be held in the Metro East area.

    Chief Procurement Office and Higher Education Diverse Business Opportunity Fair “Make a Connection with Higher Education.”

    The State of Ilinois Central Managment Services' (CMS) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) & Veteran Business Program (VBP) workshops are designed to provide information on the certification process. The State of Illinois provides the following certifications: • Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) • Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) • Person with Disability Owned Business Enterprise (PBE) The VBP provides certification to Veteran and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. CMS/BEP also has a streamlined recognition process with other MBE & WBE certifying entities.
