Diversity Enrichment Program (DEP)

The primary function of the Diversity Enrichment Program within CMS is to collaborate with the African-American, Asian-American and Hispanic Employment Plan Advisory Councils to provide assistance to all coded state agencies with targeted recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, and retention strategies for a qualified diverse workforce.

The program is designed to assist state agencies in developing and modifying their own programming to enable them to meet their affirmative action and equal employment opportunity goals. DEP encourages state agencies to employ members of minority groups, women, and/or persons with disabilities.
