About the Illinois Procurement Gateway
What is the Illinois Procurement Gateway (IPG)?
The IPG is an online vendor portal used for gathering business information from vendors who wish to conduct business with Illinois' State agencies and universities.
Who administers the IPG?
The IPG is managed by the four independent Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) who exercise procurement authority for the state agencies and universities.
What is the cost to vendors to register in the IPG?
There is no cost to vendors to register in the IPG.
Why should I register my business in the IPG?
Instead of submitting required information (such as company ownership, Department of Human Right's public contract number and State Board of Elections registration number) in paper form with every solicitation response, vendors will be able to submit the information in advance electronically. After the Chief Procurement Office reviews and approves the application in the IPG, vendors will receive a registration number that can be included in solicitation responses in place of certain paper forms.
How is using an IPG registration number beneficial to me when responding to a solicitation?
When mandatory information is not supplied with a vendor's response, that vendor is disqualified. By registering in the IPG, a vendor may submit their IPG registration number in place of certain paper documents, ensuring that required mandatory information has already been submitted and is on file within the IPG.
