Yair Rodriguez serves as the Deputy Director for Regional Economic Development (RED). Prior to joining the DCEO, he served as Director of Corporate Giving for the Chicago Scholars Foundation where he grew their corporate portfolio from 40 to over 170 companies. While there, he managed corporate investments and individual giving totaling $1M over a span of two years. Previously, Yair worked for the Chicago Public Schools as a family and community engagement manager for various district networks. There he created and managed state-wide conferences and local events that provided resources and access to information for community stakeholders. Yair has also worked for the UIC CHANCE Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Heartland Alliance. He received his MPA from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs and his Bachelor of Arts in Communications also from UIC. Yair is excited about leading Team RED in providing excellent customer service and helping businesses and Illinoisans thrive and live better quality lives.
