The State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will host a virtual public hearing on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in order to maintain social distancing guidelines as COVID-19 continues to be a public health emergency. The public can participate in this hearing by joining the Webex meeting link to be shared with LIHEAP Local Administering Agencies, Policy Advisory Council and Interested Parties.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on the 2021 LIHEAP State Plan to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to implement the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for eligible households in Illinois.
Copies of the LIHEAP State Plan and the agenda of the public hearing will be available for public inspection beginning on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Office of Community Assistance, 500 East Monroe Street, Springfield, Illinois and on the web at www.liheapillinois.com. Persons wishing to schedule testimony or receive a copy of the LIHEAP State Plan should contact the Office of Community Assistance at CEO.CommunityAssist@illinois.gov. Written copies of all testimony should be provided.
