Climate Change and the Effects on Native Wildlife
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Learn what climate change is and how it is changing the behaviors of some native wildlife species in the state. We will discuss developing action plans, too, and how they can be implemented to help species survival. Correlations to middle school Next Generation Science Standards will be provided. Although targeted to teachers of middle school students, other educators are welcome to register for the workshop but may need to adapt the information and resources, as appropriate. Professional Development Hours are available. This workshop is part of the ENTICE (Environment and Nature Training Institute for Conservation Education) program from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
