Biodiversity of Illinois, Volume 1: Aquatic Habitats

Explore the diversity of Illinois’ aquatic habitats with this searchable CD-ROM from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ (IDNR) Division of Education. The CD-ROM contains photographs, life history information, Illinois range maps, classification, status, sounds and more features about hundreds of species that live in or travel through the state. Mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, invertebrates, plants and protists are represented. Designed for use with grades five through nine, the CD-ROM can be used in a variety of ways.

The Biodiversity of Illinois series of CD-ROMs is no longer available for distribution. However, copies of the CD-ROMs are included in many of the resources trunks for loan from the IDNR and are available for loan from the Illinois State Library.
