Name: Dixon Springs State Park
Location: 1.5 miles East of the intersection of state routes 145 and 146. Hunting area is located behind the District Field Office.
Description: Dixon Springs SP offers cabins, camping and hiking in the park. The hunting area is approximately 567 acres of old fields mixed with mature oak and hickory forest surrounded by Shawnee National Forest land.

Active habitat management will be occurring throughout the year at this site.
General Area Regulations:
All hunters must SIGN IN and OUT and report harvest each day at the registration boxes before leaving the site.
Hunting is restricted to only those areas posted as open to hunting (see map).
Additional regulations will be posted at the designated parking and check-in areas.

Deer (Archery/Muzzleloader/Youth)

- Portable stands only for deer hunting. No permanent stands, screw in steps or other devices that pierce the bark of trees. Stands must be visibly marked with the hunter's name, address and phone number. Stands may be left unattended from Sept. 15 - Jan. 31. Limit of one tree stand per hunter.
- It is unlawful to drive deer, or participate in a deer drive, on all Department
- owned or managed properties during all deer seasons.
- It is unlawful to use or occupy a ground blind during any firearm deer season on public land unless at least 400 square inches of solid vivid blaze orange material is securely attached to the uppermost portion of the blind and a substantial amount of orange is visible for 360 degrees.
