       Firearm 1st Season - November 22, 23 & 24

       Firearm 2nd Season - December 5, 6, 7 & 8

        Muzzleloader-Only Season - December 13, 14 & 15 

        (Hunters may also use a muzzleloader permit with a muzzleloading rifle during 2nd Firearm Deer Season Dec. 5-8) 

• 2019 Archery Deer Season

       October 1, 2019 - January 19, 2020 

• 2019 Youth Firearm Deer Season  

       October 12, 13 & 14          

• 2019-2020 Late-Winter & CWD Seasons:  

       December 26-29, 2019 and January 17-19, 2020                                                             

• ​2019 Deer Firearm/Muzzleloader Application Periods

1st Lottery:  March 12 - April 30  (Illinois Residents ONLY - Limit of 1 application in 1st Lottery)

2nd Lottery:  May 1 - June 30 (Nonresidents; Illinois residents who did not apply or were not successful in 1st Lottery - Limit of 1 application in 2nd Lottery)           

3rd Lottery:  July 1 - August 16 (Illinois residents and nonresidents - More than 1 application may be submitted in 3rd Lottery)

1. Applicants, please allow approximately 4 weeks after the respective application deadline dates for Lottery Drawing results.  
2. Remaining Deer Firearm/Muzzleloader permits (county-issued) after 3rd Lottery Drawing will go on sale over the counter(OTC) beginning October 15, 2019. 

• 2019 Deer Archery Application/Sales Period (NONRESIDENTS)

      June 1 - June 30:  Apply online for Combination Permit (E/S & A/O)   

      Aug. 6 - Aug. 31:  Sold online or over the counter (OTC) -  Combination Permit or single A/O Permit

      Sep. 1, 2019 - Jan. 19, 2020:  Sold only OTC - Combination Permit or single A/O Permit

1. Nonresident applicants may apply for and receive a maximum of one Nonresident Combination Archery Deer permit during a license year. (Receiving Nonresident Landowner Archery Deer permits does not preclude the recipient from also applying for & receiving the regular Nonresident Combination Archery Deer permit.)  
2. Nonresidents may not purchase a Combination Archery Deer permit after September 30 if they have previously purchased any Single Antlerless-Only Archery Deer permit for the current deer season.​​​

      Aug. 6, 2019 - Jan. 19, 2020:  Sold over the counter (OTC) - Combination Permit (E/S & A/O) or single

      A/O Permit

      Aug. 6, 2019 - Sep. 1, 2019:  Complete a paper application for Single E/S Permit

• 2019 Deer Youth Firearm Either-Sex Permit Sales Period (Residents of IL & Nonresidents)

       Aug. 6 - Aug. 31:  Sold online or over the counter (OTC)

       Sep. 1 - Oct. 14 - Sold only OTC

• 2019-2020 Late-Winter & CWD Seasons Application/Sales Period

       Oct. 29, 2019 - Nov. 25, 2019:  Special Hunt Area Lottery Application - ONLINE ONLY - IL RESIDENTS ONLY

       December 10, 2019 - January 19, 2020:  Permits for open counties sold over the counter (OTC)* 

             *OTC permits for open Late-Winter Season counties can be purchased by Illinois Residents only.

             *OTC permits for open CWD Season Counties can be purchased by residents of IL & nonresidents.
