Wingshooting clinic opportunities for youth and women at Johnson-Sauk Trail
Kewanee, IL � The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Henry/Rock Island chapters of Pheasants Forever are sponsoring a Youth/Women�s Wingshooting Clinic for beginning shotgunners at Johnson-Sauk Trail State Recreation Area near Kewanee. The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 15, for young wingshooters 10-15 years of age and for women of all ages.
The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with sign-in beginning at 9:30 a.m. The professional wingshooting teachers are Certified National Sporting Clays Association Wingshooting instructors. There is a $10.00 registration fee that covers shotguns, ammunition, and lunch.
Reservations can be made by calling Bill Candler between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday � Friday at 309-848-0080. Space is limited to 24 students. Reservations can be made through September 12. There will be a short classroom presentation on basic firearm safety and handling by an Illinois DNR Certified Volunteer Hunter Safety Instructor followed by hands-on training and live fire at clay targets.

Instructors: IDNR Certified NCSA Wingshooting Instructors
Charge: $10.00 registration fee � make checks payable to Pheasants Forever
Supplies/ Materials: Includes shotguns, ammunition, clay targets, traps, eye and ear protection.
