requesting Offers (bids/proposals) from responsible Vendors
to meet the State's needs. Below is a brief description of
our needs with detailed requirements in subsequent sections
of this solicitation. If you are interested and able to meet

The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources (DNR), will accept proposals from responsible Vendors interested in the operation of a restaurant, bait shop (optional) and boat rental (optional) concession at Beaver Dam State Park located in Plainview, Illinois. The concession operation at Beaver Dam State Park will be authorized to rent, sell, serve or dispense food, confections, hot and cold nonalcoholic beverages, tobacco products, selected souvenirs and novelties in good character, newspapers, post cards, boats, canoes, canoe equipment, bicycles, paddle boats, boating equipment, bait, fishing and hunting licenses, marine, fishing, picnic and camping supplies, vending machines and to place electronic/video games.
The nature of this leasehold offering is a restaurant, bait shop optional) and boat rental (optional) lease for five (5) years with the option to renew for an additional five (5) years.
A mandatory vendor conference will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Beaver Dam State Park Concession Building, 14548 Beaver Dam Lane, Plainview, Illinois 62685. See RFP Section A.5 titled "Required Meetings".
