Bid for Mississippi River Area Roadway Surface Improvements (1/31/2014)
The Department of Natural Resources is
requesting Offers (bids/proposals) from responsible Vendors
to meet the State's needs. Below is a brief description of
our needs with detailed requirements in subsequent sections
of this solicitation. If you are interested and able to meet

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, hereinafter referred to as IDNR, manages the Mississippi River State Fish and Wildlife Area (MRA) for public benefit. MRA includes fifteen (15) wildlife management area and thirteen (13) public access areas scattered along 75 miles of the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. In total, the MRA encompasses more than 24,000 acres. In June of 2008, and several times since then, severe flooding washed much of the roadway surface material (gravel) from the access roads and parking areas. This invitation for bid shall replace roadway surface course aggregate in order to rehabilitate these areas to their pre-flood conditions.
