requesting Offers (bids/proposals) from responsible Vendors
to meet the State's needs. Below is a brief description of
our needs with detailed requirements in subsequent sections
of this solicitation. If you are interested and able to meet

The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources (DNR), will accept proposals from responsible Vendors interested in the operation of a restaurant, bait shop, boat rental and campstore located in Rock Cut State Park, Loves Park, Illinois. The restaurant, bait shop, boat rental and campstore operation will be authorized to rent, sell, serve or dispense food, confections, hot and cold nonalcoholic beverages, tobacco products, selected souvenirs and novelties in good character, newspapers, post cards, boats, canoes, bicycles, paddle boats, boating equipment, State of Illinois lottery tickets, bait, fishing and hunting licenses, marine, fishing, picnic and camping supplies, including the sale of firewood.
The nature of this leasehold offering is a food, beverage, bait, boat rental and camping supply lease for five (5) years with the option to renew for an additional four (4) years. Vendor is expected to operate the restaurant, bait shop, boat rental facility and campstore, open to the general public, and shall provide services of food and beverage, boat rental, bait sales, camping supplies and other appropriate business, social and recreational activities.
A mandatory vendor conference will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Rock Cut State Park Concession Building, 7318 Harlem Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111. See RFP Section A.5 titled "Required Meetings".
