Effective July 15, most IDNR Historic sites will reopen to the public. Indoor buildings, outdoor acreage and interpretive programming located at Historic Sites will be open to the public. Masks will be required for all visitors at an indoor location or outside if social distancing cannot be achieved. Public health directives related to COVID-19 are in effect at all locations. Please be mindful of other persons on the grounds and observe proper social distancing guidelines. Please contact the site you wish to visit for times and availability of tours if not posted.
All normally staffed Historic Sites are open except for the following:
- Metamora Courthouse
- Pierre Menard Home
Finally, an online reservation system for tour times at Historic Sites will be available soon. Check back here for updates!
