The mission of the Illinois Community College Board, as the state coordinating board for community colleges, is to administer the Public Community College Act in a manner that maximizes the ability of the community colleges to serve their communities, promotes cooperation within the system, and accommodates those State of Illinois initiatives that are appropriate for community colleges. As an integral part of the state’s system of higher education, community colleges are committed to providing high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective educational opportunities for the individuals and communities they serve.
College Access and Financial Aid: workshops and one-on-one assistance
ISAC provides students and families with free assistance from experts on the college-going and financial aid process. ISAC can provide you with the information you need to identify and choose a college that is right for you, help you fill out your college applications, and guide you through the financial aid process so you can get all the financial aid for which you are eligible. ISAC offers free workshops across the state, as well as free one-on one mentoring in locations near you!

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation supports the educational and cultural programming of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum; fosters Lincoln scholarship through the acquisition and publication of documentary materials relating to Lincoln and his era; and promotes a greater appreciation of history through exhibits, conferences, publications, online services, and other activities designed to promote historical literacy.
