Update regarding SSEI Filing Deadline
New SSEI Filing Deadline: August 3, 2020
On June 12, 2020, Governor Pritzker signed Public Act 101-640 (SB 2135), which, effective immediately, adds a new paragraph to section 4A-105 of the Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A-105) that suspends the SEI filing deadline for State employees and officers until August 1, 2020. Because August 1 is a Saturday, the actual filing deadline becomes Monday, August 3. The Governor had previously suspended the deadline for the duration of his COVID-19 disaster proclamation plus 30 days by executive order. As SSEIs are, by the terms of Executive Order 15-09, to be filed in conjunction with SEIs, the deadline for SSEIs is also suspended until August 3.
