Thank you for your interest in employment with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). We continuously strive to identify and hire a diverse team of professionals who will help advance the mission of our agency. In addition to full time positions, the IEPA also has several internship programs for college level students to prepare them to be the environmental stewards of the future.

There are many different job classifications defined by Central Management Services (CMS).  At Illinois EPA, we have a variety of technical and professional staff positions which include Environmental Protection Engineers, Specialists, Geologists, Chemists, and Technical Advisors (attorneys), as well as positions involved with supporting Agency Fiscal and Administrative services.

  2. Complete a CMS-100 or CMS-100B (most recent version) application
  3. Submit completed application, along with copies of official transcripts and proof of Veteran's status (if either or both are applicable), to the Agency Contact noted on the vacancy.  Email, fax, mail or in-person submission is acceptable.
