Procedures for Determining Soil Remediation Objectives for Chemicals Not Listed in TACO Regulations

  • Soil remediation objectives for the residential and industrial/commercial receptors for direct contact exposures should use the toxicity data and chemical/physical data listed in the U.S. EPA Regional Screening Level (RSL) tables:  RSL-Generic Tables . Calculations listed in 35 IAC Part 742 should be used for determining the objectives. Soil remediation objectives for the construction worker receptor should use the subchronic toxicity values when available from the "RSL Subchronic Toxicity Values" table available on the RSL-Generic Tables page. Construction worker calculations listed in 35 IAC Part 742 should be used for determining the objectives.

  • Soil remediation objectives for the soil component of the groundwater ingestion exposure route should be calculated using the calculations listed in 35 IAC Part 742 and the Class I and Class II groundwater objectives provided at http://www.epa.illinois.gov/topics/cleanup-programs/taco/index.
