Hemophilia is a life-threatening, hereditary disease. Without appropriate and timely treatment, it will lead to disability and death. The Illinois Hemophilia Program assists Illinois hemophilia patients in accessing essential treatment and services. The Program provides financial assistance to eligible Illinois patients to assure that they receive:
life-saving dosages of anti-hemophilic factors;
annual, comprehensive visits to their physicians; and
other medical expenses related to the disease.
