Re: Confirmation of Coverage for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Craniomandibular Disorders per Public Act 102-0030

This notice confirms coverage for temporomandibular joint disorders and craniomandibular disorders that are required under Public Act 102-0030. Services are covered under both Medicaid fee-for-service and the HealthChoice Illinois managed care plans.
The Act requires the Department to conform to Illinois Insurance Code section 356q., which requires coverage for reasonable and necessary medical treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder and craniomandibular disorder. The Department already covers treatment for these disorders and no coverage changes are necessary.
