Re: Collection of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Employee Information - Updates
Pursuant to the June 2, 2022 Provider Notice and June 21 2022 Provider Notice, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has established a process for nursing facilities (NF) to provide certified nurse assistant (CNA) employee experience/promotion information to HFS for inclusion in the rate setting process effective July 1, 2022. Completion of the process will be required for receipt of substantial new subsidies that are now available to NFs that comply with the newly established minimum pay-scale.
HFS is providing the following updated timelines for providers to complete and upload the experience/promotion incentive payment template to the LTC Exchange Sharepoint site in order to be eligible for the CNA wage subsidies for the July through September 2022 rate quarter.
- Submittal of the completed experience/promotion incentive payment template is now due by July 31, 2022 for either a July 1, 2022 or August 1, 2022 wage subsidy effective date.
- To receive the CNA wage subsides retroactive to July 1, 2022, a signed CNA Pay Scale Enrollment Form for July 1, 2022, is also required to be uploaded to the Sharepoint site by July 15, 2022.
- To receive an August 1, 2022, start date for CNA wage subsidies, a signed CNA Pay Scale Enrollment Form for August 1, 2022, must be uploaded to the Sharepoint site by July 31, 2022.
