Re: Collection of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Employee Information – October 2022 through December 2022 Payments
Pursuant to the June 2, 2022 Provider Notice and June 21, 2022 Provider Notice, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has established a process for nursing facilities (NF) to provide certified nurse assistant (CNA) employee experience/promotion information to HFS for calculation of the CNA Wage Subsidy payments.
New templates (spreadsheets) have been uploaded to each provider's LTC Exchange Sharepoint folder for calculation of the October 2022 through December 2022 wage subsidies. The templates have been pre-populated with information from the 1st Quarter 2022 (January 2022 - March 2022) Payroll Based Journal (PBJ), as well as from the Department of Public Health's healthcare workforce registry.
- All providers participating in the CNA Wage Subsidy program for the October 2022 – December 2022 quarter will be required to fill out the experience levels and upload the spreadsheets to the LTC Exchange SharePoint site.
- Providers that participated in the July 2022 – September 2022 quarter will not be required to sign an additional certification form.
- Providers that are participating in the CNA Wage Subsidy program for the first time in October 2022 will also be required to fill out and sign the CNA Pay Scale Enrollment Form for October 1, 2022, and upload it to the LTC Exchange SharePoint site. The form can be located at HFS Medicaid Reimbursement page for Long Term Care.
To allow for the timely calculation of the payment amounts, HFS is requesting that templates and enrollment forms (if applicable) be completed and uploaded to the LTC Exchange SharePoint site by September 30, 2022.
The Enrollment Forms, an overview of the CNA pay scale subsidy, a CNA pay scale subsidy FAQ document, and directions for uploading documents to the Sharepoint site can be found on the LTC Reimbursement webpage at the following link: Long Term Care Reimbursement
