Illinois is in the process of modernizing its 30-year-old Medicaid Management System (MMIS). This is being done to meet federal requirements of the Affordable Care Act. IMPACT is a multi-agency effort to implement a web-based system to give providers a more convenient and consistent user experience and to ensure beneficiaries receive timely and high-quality Medicaid services.
