Some CILs have Deaf Service Coordinators (DSCs) which communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and can provide information specifically related to hearing loss. Please contact your local center to learn what services are available.
IDHHC does not routinely provide individual advocacy assistance. IDHHC works towards systemic change and removing barriers to communication access for all deaf, hard of hearing and DeafBlind individuals. IDHHC is available to provide information & referral assistance. When necessary, IDHHC will provide educational outreach to service providers about their legal requirements to provide effective communication.
